2018 | A Year of Fashion in Review - Coco & Voltaire
January | February | March | April | May | June | July | August | September | October | November | December I think I will remember 2018 as the year that I found the style I’d spent so many years searching to define. And what is both funny and telling about that is that nearly everything that style required was already hanging in my closet. I did not change greatly this year. My wardrobe did not, either. But I came home. And in coming home, I stopped fighting the reality of who I am. I let go of the idea that I could be someone different if I simply dressed the part. In doing so, I was able to embrace who I am to a fuller extent than I ever have before. In short, this was the year when I got out of my own way. On a personal level, 2018 has been difficult and often painful. I’ve experienced moments of both necessary catharsis and profound sadness.
