Creative duo Nuria Val and Coke Bartrina take some of the most awe-inspiring travel photos we've ever seen (they 100% make us want to spend all of our money on plane tickets), so we tapped them to shoot a travel diary for us. Last month, the two visited La Gomera, one of Spain's Canary Islands, and photographed the entire trip. La Gomera is one of the smallest of the Canary Islands and it's known for its mountainous landscape and volcanic beginnings. (The entire island is actually an eroded volcano that stopped erupting millions of years ago.) The island has everything from tropical beaches to humid rainforests, with plenty of mountains in between. While it's just a short plane ride to Tenerife, the biggest of the Canary Islands, from Barcelona (Nuria and Coke's hometown), getting to La Gomera from Tenerife requires some extra travel in the form of a ferry ride. The island is a hike to get to, but it's obviously worth the journey, as you can see in Nuria and Coke's travel diary. (Seriously, we died 100 times looking through these photos.) Scroll on and get inspired to head out on your own adventure this year — even if it's a little bit closer to home. Packing for the trip, making sure to include the Instax Mini. First leg of the journey is underway. Above: Brixton + UO Fiddler Hat Taking the ferry from Tenerife to La Gomera. The endless views are one of the most magical things about La Gomera. Seriously, they're as far as the eye can see. Spend time driving here if you can! The crazy overlook from Mirador de Abrante, a hotel high up on the coast. Not for those who are afraid of heights. A drone shot from the Piscina Natural, a totally natural swimming pool. (Yep, that's Nuria down there!) Coke and Nuria! Next up is a trip to El Cedro Forest, a rainforest deep on the island. The humidity of the forest creates the fog you see in the photos, giving you a completely different landscape than what you see near the beach. Perfect for when you want to feel like you're in the setting of a sci-fi movie. Above: ASTR Eyelet Midi Wrap Dress Spot Nuria + Coke. Above: Fjallraven Kanken Backpack Until next time, La Gomera!
