The Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, Washington, is 150 acres of various landscapes. This is the Japanese garden which is ranked among the top six in the US. The karesansui (dry garden) was designed by Dr. Koichi Kawana of the U of California, and the main section by Fujitaro Kubota.
