David Bitton is the designer, Adriano Alfaro created the vase and participated in its design. Abbracciame is 3D printed in limited edition. It is made of PLA, a bioplastic derived from corn and sugarcane: this material comes from renewable resources and is 100% compostable. It is an eco-friendly and compostable material - we care about our planet! Please note that, because of the 3D printing technology, the surface of the vase may have some imperfections, as well as visible layer lines up to 0,4 mm thick. Maintenance To extend the Abbracciame lifespan, please follow these directions: Do not put the vase near heat sources, as the material will start to sag at 60° C. Avoid putting Abbracciame in the Sun, especially the black, blue and other dark editions. Clean the vase with a wet paper-towel and delicate soap or alcohol. Do not directly fill the vase with water or any other liquid. Please use the provided watertight plastic vase to hold liquids and soil inside Abbracciame. Plant (not included) Abbracciame was designed for climbing plants. As shipping the vase with a living plant is not a good idea, we think that the best option is that you buy your favorite plant at a local florist. We strongly suggest you look for an hedera helix with small leaves, that will perfectly fit the vase spiral. For the NASA Clean Air Study, the hedera helix is one of the best choices as it can absorb and remove benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene and toluene from the air of your home. Note that you must use the watertight plastic vase (provided with Abbracciame) to hold the climbing plant soil or the fresh flowers water. Lighting (not included) If you want to use Abbracciame for lighting, we recommend you to use OSRAM waterproof LED solutions - take a look here. Shipping Abbracciame vases are shipped from Italy, where are produced. 3D printing and shipping may take up to two weeks.
