1932-1934 Ford V8 (a.k.a. Model B, Model 18 and Model 40) It was not only a complete new line of cars, truck, and (train) station wagons but also signified the introduction of the first affordable high powered V8 engine. Legend has it that Henry locked a group of engineers in a barn and didn't let them out until they came out with the blue prints and a working prototype of a mass produceable low cost V8. The Flathead V8 as it is known to our days served the company for many decades, until 1953.
