5.6K views · 34K reactions | Canning chicken isn’t that difficult! We can raw meat every year. This time, we wanted to move along some older chicken that was still good with zero freezer burn. It also helps to open up the freezer space and should we loose electricity, we won’t loose our meat! Directions: -Cut meat into chunks about 3/4” -Add kosher or canning salt: 1 Teaspoon for quarts; 1/2 teaspoon for pints -Place into clean wide mouth quart jars -Pack tightly, removing air pockets as best as you can. -clean rim with a paper towel soaked with white vinegar -put on hot lid and then ring, just finger tighten -place in canner -follow manufacturer instructions for how to operate your canner. Every kind of canner works differently. And don’t forget to add some white vinegar so the jars don’t become cloudy on the outside. -once pressure of 11 is reached, keep it there for 90 minutes for quarts; 75 minutes for pints. -follow manufacturer directions for opening canner to remove jars Raw pack meat is so easy! And it turns it into some of the best stuff to make quick meals. We use our jar chicken to make chicken salad for lunch! Chicken Salad Recipe: -(1) jar chicken -1/2 cup dill relish -1/2 to 3/4 cup mayonnaise Mix together and serve over lettuce or place on bread for a sandwich! YUM! #homesteadcanning #homesteadfoodie #homesteadersofohio #homesteadpreserving #pressurecanning #canningchicken #rawpackchicken #pressurecanningchicken | Yellowknife Homestead

Kristen West ⦿ The Centered Life Co. on Instagram: "👇why we made an adult chore chart lol👇 Ok so obviously we don’t have any kids yet, every household is different and this system will evolve over time but this has been working for us so I wanted to share ☺️ Having a system set up around cleaning stuff is helpful because… 1. It takes the mental load out of deciding what to clean/delegating tasks to each partner or roommate— sorting chores into daily/weekly/monthly instead of by room or whatever is especially helpful for this!! We know what’s expected and we understand our assignments to keep our space cozy and nice ❤️ 2. It eliminates MESS BLINDNESS. On a weekly basis there are tasks we tend to forget or just not notice that the thing is dirty 😅 I.e. cleaning the microwave that ha
